I thought I was in control. Always been keen to perform, keep fit and push myself. But it had slipped out. Too much at work, too much at home, too fast, and it wore out on diet — without me really seeing it myself. It was only when I took the health check that it narrowed. The results and the conversation with the doctor became a real wake-up call. I was actually told, 'If you keep going like this, you're not going to be working in a year. '
It made an impression. The work pressure didn't go away, but I took action where I could: Cut out alcohol, candy and ultra-processed foods. Put training more into the system. Prioritize sleep as if it were a job in itself.
Today, I'm still in the same demanding job -- but with more profit than ever.
